About Us:

The Idaho Falls Astronomical Society is a group of amateur astronomers who enjoy sharing their interest in astronomy with students, the public and with each other. Our membership ranges from people new to the night sky to serious amateurs with decades in the hobby.

Outreach and Education

The IFAS works with schools, teachers, scout troops and other organizations to share the experience the night sky – visiting classrooms, giving presentations and hosting public events.

Our basic goal is to encourage an interest in astronomy and help others better understand the broader universe we live in.
